Marettimo, located 20 miles from the mainland, is the most remote island in the Egadi Islands archipelago, and also the most wild and unspoilt. It is a wonderful Nature Reserve where every corner of land and the entire coastline are protected.
For our Marettimo and Levanzo excursions we depart from the “Marina Vento di Maestrale” pier in Trapani, making a brief first stop to introduce Trapani and a second short stop in front of the Formica Islet, which gives us a taste of the wonderful Egadi archipelago.
Our first destination is Marettimo, reached after approximately 50 minutes of sailing. We will visit the beautiful coves on the eastern side such as Cala Marino di Punta Bassana and Punta Troia, with stops for swimming and snorkelling to discover the island’s marine life. After a lunch break on board at Punta Troia, we set off on an excursion to the caves and most beautiful coves aboard a local boat with a highly experienced local guide, who will give us the chance to stop for a refreshing swim.
After returning from the excursion, in the mid-afternoon we head towards Levanzo, where we will stop at the most beautiful coves including Cala Fredda and Cala Minnola, before moving to the Faraglioni to round off the day with a delicious aperitivo with tuna products and sparkling wine. We return to Trapani in the early evening.

- Lunch and aperitivo With the Lunch and Aperitivo package, you will dine on board enjoying a delicious dish from our local tradition with the stunning view of Marettimo. On request, we can prepare menus for special diets. You will also enjoy a delightful aperitivo later in the afternoon.

Our Marettimo and Levanzo boat excursions last approximately 10 hours, starting in the morning and finishing in the late afternoon, giving you a wonderful day filled with swimming in the clearest and most unspoilt waters in Sicily and a sun-kissed tan under the warm summer sun.

The Marettimo and Levanzo trip takes place in the months from May to October, subject to sea and weather conditions, which are essential for sailing.
The Marettimo tour is carried out with the NOAH 33 RIB — a boat equipped with every comfort, ideal for a perfect experience.

What to see in Marettimo
During the excursion among the coves and Caves of Marettimo you will have the chance to discover the most beautiful ones, admiring the views and the legends that define them. Depending on weather and sea conditions, the guides accompanying us will decide which coves and caves to visit. The most popular ones are generally the following.
First of all, the Grotta del Cammello (Camel Cave), named after its amusing shape of a crouching camel. Inside you can also spot the animal’s face sculpted by Mother Nature herself, and during the sunniest hours of the day sunrays filter in creating a wonderful play of light. You can also see three small sandy beaches that once served as shelter for Monk Seals.
Another unmissable stop is the Grotta del Tuono (Thunder Cave), named after the sound of waves crashing inside, followed by the Grotta della Pipa (Pipe Cave), which features a freshwater pool and where several artefacts have been found suggesting that, due to its unique features, this cave was inhabited in the past.
Grotta Perciata also deserves your full attention. You can pass right through it, almost as if piercing the living rock, and inside you will notice countless stalactites, limestone deposits and stalagmites, offering a truly unique spectacle.
